If you’ve experienced uneven bonding on a scatter-coating line, the cause rarely traces back to the adhesive chemistry itself, but instead to a poor match between the hot melt’s melting point and the specific mesh size used on the line. Choosing a competitor's melting point value without also evaluating the mesh cut creates a hidden risk in this case, as neither number alone is sufficient to predict good results.

Our Co-pes hot melt adhesive powder is designed to be processed within a wide range-documented Co-polyester hot melt melt-point ranges are broadly defined between approximately 60° and 165°C. Most commercial hot melts fall within several clusters, typically between approximately 85° and 95°C, 98° and 120°C, and 100° and 160°C depending on the application.2 The process of matching the melt point and the mesh cut as a single specification, rather than two separate line items, is part of how Teng Yang engineer the solution for you before any sample is even delivered.

Particle-size selection is addressed similarly. Public technical specifications generally suggest the useful sieving range for adhesive powders between about 80 and 500 micrometers. At below 80 micrometers the material scatters and can't be applied evenly, while above 500 micrometers it becomes too coarse and the bond becomes weaker.     Direct-to-Film Printer uses a very fine-mesh Co-PES powder for heat transfer (otherwise known as DTF powder or DTF hot melt powder) to bond to a web of wet ink just coming off of a DTF Printer and fuse it under a heat press. Since we're using a low-temperature grade product, our material can fuse to the web at a relatively low 60-95 °C, allowing it to bond without scorching the web. Scorch on a DTF print is typically manifested as dull color in the finished transfer.

    Our coarser grade powder, applied in a double-dot pattern and fused under low to medium pressure, bonds leather lining across footwear and leather-goods manufacturing.
